Process Automation Engineer - System Programmer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Automation Engineer / Systems Programmer for a long term full time contract role with cross border travel to be part of and contributing to significant project sites. This role is responsible for executing complex process automation and control systems projects across autonomous and advanced control environments. The focus is on hands-on delivery of automation solutions that support safe, efficient, and reliable operations across mining, onshore, and offshore facilities.

This position requires a senior automation professional with mandatory Honeywell and Rockwell experience who can contribute across the full project lifecycle — from early concept and detailed engineering through construction support, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute automation engineering work across all project phases, including concept, FEED, detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and validation.
• Program and configure Honeywell DCS and Rockwell PLC platforms , providing hands-on technical execution.
• Coordinate and interface with engineering partners, contractors, OEMs, system integrators, and project management teams.
• Produce complete process automation deliverables, including :

Control narratives and cause & effect diagrams

Required Experience & Qualifications :

Hands-on configuration experience, including C300 controllers

Programming and configuration of ControlLogix PLC platforms

Additional Experience (highly regarded)

This role is well suited for a senior automation engineer who combines deep Honeywell and Rockwell expertise with strong execution capability and full lifecycle project experience.
