What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be a senior leader, within RCAP Leasing, responsible for a National team of highly skilled and motivated Business Development Officers (BDOs).
You'll be an inspirational leader, helping your BDO team achieve new heights. You will achieve this by growing your team in key regions and industries, by having a commitment for excellence in customer service, and by running solid and consistent sales routines.
You will work with many stakeholders including credit, operations, customer service and National Office to maximize our market competitiveness, while ensuring our portfolio remains within our risk profile.
You'll ultimately drive accelerated double digit growth for the business through your excellent coaching routines and business expansion.
What will you do?
RCAP Leasing, a wholly owned subsidiary of RBC is a growing indirect leasing business. We work with key vendor / supplier relationships and earn the right to be the partner of choice to provide equipment leasing solutions to their end clients.
You are a One RBC market leader who leads a best-in-class RCAP Leasing team to maximize RBC's position in the market and bring the best of RBC to new and existing clients, via in-person or virtual meetings, based on client preference
You are accountable and take ownership for RCAP Leasing results in client experience, business performance, portfolio quality and employee engagement.
You hold your team accountable to their mandate, goals and to executing market strategies in their respective markets
You create a winning culture, building an engaged and skilled team through coaching routines, development planning, and by demonstrating belief in your team, partners and RBC's ability to win

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have :
Experience leading high performance teams
Demonstrated experience growing sales in a fast pace environment
Experience dealing with business clients either in Business Financing Services, Specialized sales force, or Leasing.
Change management skills. Ability to manage ambiguity. Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to impact & influence outside span of control.
Highly achievement motivation oriented. Strong relationship management skills.
Capable of presenting, interacting with Senior Level Executives

Nice to have :
MBA, CFA or equivalent
Leasing experience, especially vendor financing
Experience leading a commission-based sales force
Diverse experiences are definitely an asset : Sales, National office, operations, consulting, strategy, product
Bilingualism (English and French), as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada
