Hays has recently partnered with a developing Calgary firm who are looking to add an Intern Architect to join their growing office.

They provide architectural and interior design services for mixed-use, multifamily,mercial and institutional projects across AB, BC and NWT.

Your new role
In this role, your roles and responsibilities will include; collaborating with the Principal Architect and Designers to develop design concepts for mixed-use, multifamily, and institutional projects.
Producing detailed drawings and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and other software as necessary. Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
Conduct site visits and ensure that construction is inpliance with design documents and assist in the coordination of construction activities.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success. Help manage project budgets and timelines and keep up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the industry.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Ideally you will possess 3+ years’ experience and have prior experience working on multifamily wood frame, mixed-use and institutional project types.
AAA registration is a strong asset, but not required. You will be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office and various Design software / programs.
Sound knowledge of local building codes and bylaws is required. You will be self motivated, collaborative and have a drive to success.
Interest in progressing into an Associate / Partner role in the future is a strong asset.
What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will receive a base salary $60,000 $80,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus potential, extended benefits, public transit reimbursement and opportunities for growth within thepany.
