Senior Project Manager
6 Month Contract
Hybrid, Toronto
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing cloud data platform team. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting a critical program focused on the enablement of advanced analytics for enterprise consumption.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in facilitating the adoption of this new platform by helping us migrate away from our legacy state.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the project lifecycle for the Cloud Data Platform group, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.) and manage project scope, timelines, and resources.
- Work closely with the engineering team to prioritize project requirements and break down work packages into manageable tasks.
Write clear and concise user stories as required.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Identify and remove roadblocks and impediments hindering project progress.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful project delivery.
- Utilize strong communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex, data-focused initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong understanding of data integrations, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and data movement concepts.
- Prior experience with Hadoop stack and Azure Data Services highly preferred ( Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks with a figure-it-out approach.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
