The Sr. Manager, Direct Procurement - Foods, Beverages, and Commodities, TH, position is responsible for leading procurement for selected strategic food and beverage categories and new "Limited Time Offer" products to support the Tim Hortons North America restaurants.
The role will require industry analysis, benchmarking, and financial modeling to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies and negotiations.
The position liaises with Marketing, Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Legal and Finance functions to support Tim Hortons business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Develops, aligns, and executes procurement strategies that align with business strategy for assigned categories including sourcing and contingencies
- Negotiates and executes business tenders; leads contractual conversations and execution liaising with cross functional teams (stakeholders)
- Measures supplier performance, identifies performance improvement initiatives and supports corrective actions as required
- Develops financial models, analyzes business risks, and drives cost savings initiatives which consistently improve EBITDA and restaurant profitability
- Work with external vendors to discuss new promos and gather vendor requirements
- Support the management of commodity buying strategy (along with pricing team)
- Drive process improvement within the team
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience, Bachelor's degree, Foods, Beverages, and Ingredients procurement experience preferred
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills as well as leadership capabilities
- Strong analytical skills (researching, analyzing and interpreting data)
- Advanced level in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to develops business cases to drive business and owner profitability
- Sourcing strategy development and execution (driving functionality, sustainability, supply chain resilience)
