Senior Capacity Planner (Forecasting & Monitoring)
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Conduct scenario analysis focusing on capacity utilization to offer guidance on infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate capacity projects within broader infrastructure initiatives, particularly regarding server, network, and data center capacity.
- Interpret and analyze forecast changes / trends to formulate and manage strategic deployment plans.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, and Datacenter teams to execute server deployment plans across global data centers, minimizing risks.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to establish a 12-month supply view, address vendor challenges, and assess the impact of hardware version changes.
- Develop and maintain capacity dashboards for monitoring and managing capacity shifts.
- Provide support to Sales & Customer Success and Product teams.
- Contribute to capital budget planning annually, quarterly, and on an ad hoc basis.
- Create and analyze "what-if" capacity usage scenarios to support predictive budget planning and assess capacity impact.
- Utilize data analysis to guide business decisions, prioritizing operational trade-offs and capital spending.
- Condense extensive datasets to provide recommendations to a diverse cross-functional team.
What We’ll Expect From You :
- Previous experience in a planning role, preferably within a web infrastructure / cloud company.
- Proficient in basic computing concepts and terminology.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams to coordinate operations and activities across departments.
- Intermediate understanding of accounting terminology.
- Experience in managing data structures using Excel and SQL to generate reports and conduct analysis.
- Ability to provide recommendations in ambiguous environments.
- Interest in creating and optimizing processes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to, or interest in, cloud services, data centers, networking, and various server technologies would be advantageous.
