Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing SME in the field of telemetry, is currently looking for a product manager to add to its Montreal team.

The mission of the product manager is to develop and improve the product. He must identify, understand and anticipate user needs in order to optimize the added value of the product.

He will define the long-term strategic vision, create a roadmap and develop a framework to manage the different projects.

Main Responsibilities : - Define and execute the company's overall product vision, strategy and roadmap. - Develop a deep understanding of customers, their needs and willingness to pay in current and new markets.

  • Act as General Product Manager - leading the definition of "winning products" for the company's target customer segments, including : - Product business case;
  • Launch specification including target segment and go-to-market; - Prices; - Ongoing roadmap for feature and customer expansion.
  • Prioritization of all product requests (e.g. new features, enhancements, changes, bug fixes, etc.) - Work closely with Program Management (PMO) and R&D to champion products through the NPI gate process.
  • Work closely with the Software Product Owner (PO) to define software requirements for the portfolio as well as the ongoing software development roadmap.
  • Work closely with sales and customer support teams to gather customer feedback, evangelize the product vision and educate and train the sales and CSR team on the product value proposition, features, etc.
  • Education : - Bachelor's degree in engineering or bachelor's degree in commerce or a related field. - An MBA or Master's degree is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in production engineering or a related field. - Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset.

Knowledge : - Analytical and quantitative skills; - Experience using real-world data to support hypotheses and develop business cases.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. - Strong writing skills and excellent presentation skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) - oral and written Location : Montreal
