Marketing & Operations Coordinator
The West End Cultural Centre (WECC) is the best place in Canada to play and experience music. For more than 37 years we have been presenting artists at all stages of their career and supporting artistic development through education, collaboration and community programming.
The WECC seeks a Marketing & Operations Coordinator to collaborate with the Artistic Director in the marketing and promotion of all WECC events, coordinating and scheduling of rental events, and production support and assistance.
Reporting to the Artistic Director and the Executive Director, the selected candidate will work with all levels of the organization, acting as an advisor and partner to all departments.
Marketing
- Assist the Artistic Director in coordinating and executing a promotion schedule for all WECC events.
- Write and coordinate detailed media releases, biography materials, print ads, and media for WECC events.
- Manage the WECC’s social media properties, including content creation and consistent messaging across multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc).
- Design and implement in-house marketing strategies, including (but not limited to) show programs, ticket contests, show posters, seasonal calendars, and handbills.
- Write the monthly E-newsletter, as well as creation and maintenance of constant and dynamic campaigns for new subscribers.
Production
- Work with the Artistic Director to efficiently schedule, co-ordinate, and manage all rentals of the WECC, including completion and settlement and settlement of all contracts, stage management, and other production duties as required.
- Provide mentorship to renters in the areas of stage management, scheduling, marketing, and promotions, and other support as needed.
- Liaise with House Manager and Technical Director to ensure appropriate hall set up, security, and technical systems are provided.
- Assist the Artistic director with WECC production duties like arranging accommodations and hospitality for performers.

Candidates should have a strong knowledge of music in a variety of genres. Marketing and communications experience and experience in production or event management is an asset.
