Aviva Canada is looking for new and experienced Insurance Advisors to help support its explosive growth in our Direct to Consumer Distribution channel.
Our newest team members will help support our Direct, Group and Affinity portfolios by providing insurance solutions to new and existing customers.

The Insurance Advisor is an underwriting professional licensed to sell personal insurance directly to consumers nationally and to service all their insurance-related needs.
In addition, the role is responsible for underwriting personal lines policies nationally and within authorized limits in accordance with established policies, practices, standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
The hours of operation for the Direct Channel Department are Monday to Friday from 8 : 00 a.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. and Saturday from 8 : 00 a.
m. to 5 : 00 p.m. You will be required to work five 7.5-hour shifts per week (37.5 hours per week) within these hours of operation.
Aviva Canada has adopted a hybrid return-to-office model. This role will require you to work in the Dartmouth office location 2 - 3 days per week.
What you'll do
Understand customer insurance needs and provide insurance solutions.
Quote and sell Home and Auto insurance policies.
Assist new customers with their Home and Auto insurance needs.
Service existing customers by updating their policies to meet their changing needs and provide new products as required.
Drive strong customer retention by providing a world-class customer experience.
Underwrite new business, policy endorsements, and renewals by obtaining all necessary information from the customer relevant to pricing and risk analysis.
Stay up to date on underwriting and regulatory guidelines.
What you'll bring
College Diploma or University Degree.
Sales and customer service experience (mandatory).
OTL licensed or RIBO licensed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-focused with the ability to match products to customers' needs.
Good problem-solving skills.
Ability to self-manage and prioritize work.
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications.
Insurance sales / service underwriting experience is an asset.
Actively working towards CIP or FCIP designation is an asset.
Bilingual (English / French) is an asset.
