Clubs Associate & Master Club Fitter
What You'll Do;
As a Master Club Fitter with Golf Town, you will not only be responsible for providing in-depth knowledge and experience in the area of golf merchandise, but also for delivering a best-in-class premium club-fitting experience to our customers.
This unique role ensures that their questions are answered professionally and suitably, and that they are set up with the perfect equipment for their needs.

You will play a key role in our stores by maximizing sales by finding the right product, providing creative solutions to each customer using a win-win approach, and removing barriers to ensure exceptional service and an enhanced golf experience for every customer.
Custom Fitting
- Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to assist customers by recommending the right products for their game.
- Delivering a best-in-class club fitting experience to Golf Town customers.
- Event ownership of vendor partner fitting days.
- Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with customers and all store employees.
- Assisting with the store's custom orders from the date of purchase to delivery.
- Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to assist customers and recommend the correct product to enhance player performance.
- Supporting the wider store team when needed, including MOD, customer service, or assisting on the sales floor.
Customer Service
- Provide customers with the highest level of customer service, emphasizing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to every customer.
- Managing all types of customer situations, including understanding and processing customer complaints.
- Answering department phones courteously within three rings.
- Addressing asset protection issues that may occur in the department so that there is neither a loss to the company nor an uncontrollable situation with the customer.
Sales
- Selling merchandise at company-established prices and ensuring discrepancies are addressed and authorized accordingly.
- Maximize sales through your golf apparel and accessories knowledge by suggestively selling these essential items.
- Building your knowledge of merchandise on the floor and in the backroom, including verification of the current selling price.
- Stay ahead of all new and current golf trends and continuously learn all the latest product information.
- Staying informed of daily / weekly and monthly Golf Town advertising and promotions to inform the customer accurately.
- Communicate with store management about any missed sales opportunities due to the product.
Floor Stock and Display
- Ensuring the store area is neatly arranged and meets our Golf Town standards.
- Maintaining floor standards and customer service standards and utilizing selling skills.
- Assisting with proper merchandising execution to maximize sales, earnings, and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting in developing floor standards, visual merchandising, customer service standards, and sales techniques.
- Communicate any merchandise processing issues to the department manager.
- What You’ll Bring;
- Must be an avid golfer with strong technical knowledge of equipment.
- Proficiency in golf-specific product knowledge
- Experience in club fitting (vendor, green grass, or retail)
- Experience with various club fitting and lunch monitor technologies
- Experience and working knowledge of retail operations
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral, to all levels of the organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills-ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs, ability to build rapport quickly
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
