PositionSummary :
Reportingto the Manager of Integrated Solutions the Electronic ControlSpecialist will lead our electronic control solutions forIntegrated Solutions across Canada.
This will include developinginnovative motion control solutions programming mobile displays PLC& other devices. The ideal candidate must be experiencedresult driven and teamfocused.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsiblefor :
- Takeownership of the development of solutions from concept tocompletion
- Collaboratewith teams across the organization as well as vendors to developand deliver solutions tocustomers
- Create / manage technical documents andfiles
- Providesupport and expertise during project commissioning andaftermarket
- Provideinternal and external consultation onprojects
- Utilizeexpertise of technology and applications to support salesgrowth
- Stayup to date on the latest technologies while looking foropportunities to enhance Applied s product and serviceofferings
- Othertasks asrequired
Requirements
Preferencewill be given to candidates who possess the followingqualifications :
- MechanicalAptitude (P. ENG or CET in relevant disciplinepreferred)
- 5years programming PLCs
- Extensiveknowledge in programming (CoDeSys C C &CANBus)
- Understandingof electrical integration in relevant technologies would be anasset
- Demonstratedability to lead and follow complex projects with many stakeholdersinvolved
- Demonstratedability to troubleshoot electrical systems & programminglocally &remotely

How You'llPerform The Role Produce molds and / or machined / fabricated partsaccurately and efficiently within established timelines Handlecutting, drilling, reaming, boring, polishing, deburring andgrinding of aluminum parts Handle cleaning, fitting, drilling andassembling of the tools Assist with sample making process whenrequired Grind tools for custom requirements Know capability ofvarious machines and related impact on parts / tools Come up withideas for productivity improvements through engineering solutionslike jigs, fixtures etc.
whenever required Guide and assistco-workers whenever required Make wooden crates and pack the toolsfor shipment whenever required Lift and move product / parts / boxes when required Assist with cleaning up machines and theirgeneral maintenance Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedureswhenever required Understand, maintain and follow the workingprocedures for machine shop Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S inown work area and around work units Perform all work in a safemanner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policiesand procedures of the Company Any other duties as assigned by theManagement What We Need From You Minimum High school diploma andOntario Machinist Certification Minimum 5 years of experience inmachine shop and fabrication for making thermoforming molds orsimilar applications Strong knowledge of different toolingmachinery and its usage, including Milling Machines, Lathes,Drilling Machine, Band saw, Grinders etc.
Able to verify dimensionsof machined parts or tooling using different measuring instrumentseg. Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height gauge etc.
Able to read andinterpret blue-prints or study sample parts to determine machiningoperations to be performed Strong knowledge of welding and brazing.
Able to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervisionShould possess own basic tools Good English communications skills(verbal and written)
