Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

As a Senior Accountant within Workleap's Finance team, you will be a key contributor to the company's growth by participating in multiple improvement projects related to accounting and accounts payable cycle.

You’ll be responsible to :

  • Contribute to the month-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance w ith Workleap accounting policies.
  • Support the accounting team in day-to-day activities, AP cycle and special projects .
  • Monitor business processes for improvement opportunities and develop optimized processes, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Design and implement new policies and procedures related to audit requirements and business activities.
  • Ensure the efficiency of internal controls.
  • Participate in the implementation of accounting-related systems (ERP and more).
  • Support the external audit processes, working directly with the external auditors and internal team members.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Tax, and external service providers to ensure compliance with statutory and tax reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team and other departments to ensure accurate accruals.
  • Train accountants and other staff by answering questions and reviewing their work on basic questions.
  • Respond to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests .

  • Initiate process improvements to reduce the days-to-close for the monthly close process.

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA designation;
  • You have good knowledge of ASPE / IFRS;
  • You have accumulated 5 years of relevant experience;
  • You are motivated by process improvements;
  • You are detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision effectively ;
  • You are focused on solutions and quick to adapt;
  • You’re proficient in using the Office suite (especially Excel);
  • You’re technologically inclined.
