Manager, Finance and Business Operations
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Business Operations, a successful candidate for the Manager of Finance and Business Operations will provide crucial support and oversight for the operational and financial performance for Laboratory Operations, Supply Chain, Specialized Diagnostics, Clinical Development and Quality Assurance across multiple locations.
This role will partner with business teams nationally to support key goals and initiatives. This is a full-time hybrid position with occasional in-person opportunities to support the needs of the business.

Key Accountabilities :
- Accountable to the Director, Finance & Business Operations for achieving operational excellence and organizational goals
- Gather, consolidate and report financial and operational data i.e. monthly / quarterly management reporting, variance analysis and performance measure variances
- Lead the budget / forecast process across multiple locations
- Support development, ongoing evaluations, and reporting of business metrics
- Provide appropriate support to business to ensure control of direct costs including detailed analysis of monthly costs, assistance in identifying and achieving any cost saving initiatives
- Ability to address ambiguity, flexibility to address ad hoc needs and a passion for simplification and to drive continuous improvement
- Lead a team of direct reports and focus on talent development
- Open to addressing challenges and remaining flexible in a changing business environment
- Ad hoc analysis and tasks as needed
Additional Requirements :
- 5+ years work experience in financial planning and analysis
- 3+ years in management role
- Bachelor's degree in finance; MBA is asset
- Strong business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA designation or working towards CPA is a strong asset
- Demonstrates strong operational financial experience in a multisite setting
- Advanced competency with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with business intelligence data analytics platforms
- Experience in Standard Costing
- Knowledgeable in six sigma methodology and tools
- Experience preferred in development of Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plans
- Sound understanding of business planning processes, business case development and capital planning, and ability to assess and implement risk mitigation strategies
- AS400 and Great Plains are strong assets
