Location : St Laurent, QC
Position : Deskside Technical Support Specialist
Contract Duration : 12 months (with potential extension)
Pay Rate : $25-35 / hour
Responsibilities :
- Provide desktop support for end-user computing, including software installation, troubleshooting, and assistance.
- Maintain and support AV equipment in conference rooms; assist with additional audio / video requirements for events such as town hall meetings, video teleconferencing (VTC), and webcasts.
- Provide printer support and ensure smooth operations.
- Install, test, and deploy Windows operating systems and images.
- Ensure all IT practices align with Security policies.
- Manage IT purchase requisitions.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and equipment.
- Provide professional and effective communication with end-users and stakeholders.
- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong ability to follow up and resolve issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; professional when interacting with customers, employees, management, and guests.
- Strong task prioritization and time management abilities.
- Resourceful and skilled in problem-solving, demonstrating good judgment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and conducting thorough research to resolve issues.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions from beginning to end.
- Strong documentation, organization, and record-keeping abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Strong understanding of system interactions and dependencies.
- Experience in supporting conference room AV systems.
- Bilingual (French & English)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Community college diploma in a related technical field or 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
- Previous experience providing IT support in an office environment is an asset.
