Position : Deskside Technical Support Specialist

Contract Duration : 12 months (with potential extension)

Pay Rate : $25-35 / hour

Responsibilities :

  • Provide desktop support for end-user computing, including software installation, troubleshooting, and assistance.
  • Maintain and support AV equipment in conference rooms; assist with additional audio / video requirements for events such as town hall meetings, video teleconferencing (VTC), and webcasts.
  • Provide printer support and ensure smooth operations.
  • Install, test, and deploy Windows operating systems and images.
  • Ensure all IT practices align with Security policies.
  • Manage IT purchase requisitions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and equipment.
  • Provide professional and effective communication with end-users and stakeholders.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong ability to follow up and resolve issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; professional when interacting with customers, employees, management, and guests.
  • Strong task prioritization and time management abilities.
  • Resourceful and skilled in problem-solving, demonstrating good judgment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and conducting thorough research to resolve issues.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions from beginning to end.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and record-keeping abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of system interactions and dependencies.
  • Experience in supporting conference room AV systems.
  • Bilingual (French & English)

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Community college diploma in a related technical field or 2 years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Previous experience providing IT support in an office environment is an asset.
