CASUAL/On Call Community Disability Support Workers
In Your Role You Will
- Guide and support persons with developmental disabilities, autism, mental health issues & / or FASD in a group home or private home setting
- Model socially appropriate behaviors (for the individual and the community).
- Administer medical administration or first aid, according to prescribed procedures.
- Receive training for : Non-violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid, Suicide Prevention, etc.
Prior to confirmation of employment all applicants must provide a current (dated within 6 months of hiring date) Criminal Record Check and Ministry Check.
These checks can take up to 6 weeks to obtain, please ensure you prepare accordingly.
As An Ideal Candidate You Possess
- High School Diploma
- Related experience - educational assistant, healthcare aide, social services worker, youth worker
- A Driver’s License
- Clear criminal record and social services intervention check
