PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

As the Coordinator, Tech Training you will have the opportunity to work with a team of LMS professionals, Instructional Designers, and Learning Process Analysts. You will provide Learning Management System (LMS) training and support to our clients, and work with the vendors to address and resolve LMS issues. As well, you will assist with processing and responding to general inquiries received in the Learning Management System (LMS) shared mailbox.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Maintain up to date curriculums, assignment profile, date courses and collaborate in making courses and course content functional in LMS
  • Create new items, curricula, assignment profiles and surveys in the LMS for the business
  • Provide learning management system (LMS) training and support to personnel and clients
  • Explore record discrepancies, provide advice, and troubleshoot LMS concerns
  • Develop job aids and documents for process development and continuous enhancements
  • Provide support on current issues / projects, manage technical and functional day-to-day operational aspects of the Learning Management System.
  • Manage LMS Admin email, directing a wide variety of queries to the appropriate responsible parties, troubleshooting etc.
  • Document all courseware and training deliverables. Enter data / records from the field into LMS
  • Maintain current documentation such as Program Indexes, Table of Contents, and job aids for the business and find solutions to decrease gaps in training records
  • Prepare reports for internal and external clients
  • Provide assistance and instruction to field admins in generating and distributing reports for target populations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Related university diploma or degree
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Learning Management System content (content objects, Assessments, and Survey functionality)
  • Knowledge of eLearning content management (SCORM 1.2 compliant authoring and deployment systems)
  • Experience with learning design / authoring software is considered an asset – Articulate 360 suite (esp. Rise, Review, Storyline)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, computer and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

    Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification / qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
