S.i. Systems public health authority client is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to design cybersecurity, business continuity and disaster recovery plans within Enterprise Arch framework.

JOB DUTIES :
The Solutions Architect is the senior technical expert responsible for assisting the Enterprise Architect in creating and implementing the enterprise technical strategy.
Solution architecture is a complex process with many stages, covering a wide range of issues aimed at addressing specific business problems. This includes :
- a) searching for the optimal technical knowhow to address specific types of business issues;
- b) delineating how project stakeholders relate to the structure and features of particular software;
c) specifying the solution’s functional requirements and the necessary stages for its implementation; and
d) preparing specifications that set the boundaries for the solution’s parameters and its final delivery.
Assists ARC (Architecture Review Committee) working group, project teams and committees composed of cross functional / department specialists, information management specialists, operations staff and consultants to develop and Review Enterprise Solutions.
2. Acts as a resident expert on Solutions and Enterprise Architecture, which provides senior management with strategic direction for FNHA information technology road maps.
3. Collaborates with all business leaders to design Enterprise Solutions
4. Ensures the appropriate technology can meet internal business demands of systems, including planning of IT resources and budget requirements.
5. Acts as a subject matter expert on Enterprise systems projects, infrastructure technologies, and provides advice on industry best practices by continuously conducting internal and external research and developing knowledge related to Technologies.
6. Assesses current Enterprise systems and makes recommendations and oversees the implementation during various stages of product life cycle, such as introduction of new components, growing current infrastructure, maintaining and ensuring updates, and phasing out products that are no longer needed.
7. Identifies opportunities to enhance services and / or reduce operational costs, evaluating and recommending acquisition of alternate solutions and products.
8. Designs, develops, implements and maintains utilities and layered products designed to support systems management, security reporting, queue management, operations.
9. Conducts technical quality assurance audits and post-implementation reviews for projects and maintenance of custom applications, ensuring conformity with user client needs and compatibility with Enterprise Architecture standards.
10. Represents IMIT at the various Provincial and Regional Health Authority working groups.
11. Develops client support, hardware, software and infrastructure standards to ensure service quality and integration into standards.
12. Establishes and maintains change control procedures for Data Center infrastructure technology upgrades and business application software migrations to ensure a stable, reliable and secure environment is maintained throughout implementation.
13. Plans, researches, and analyzes Technology Solutions related disaster recovery, business resumption procedures and security compliance;
develops recovery procedures and test plans and leads testing.
14. Reviews and assesses current infrastructure technology products and liaises with service providers to resolve issues and find solutions related to improving the current Data Center.
Keeps updated on new technologies by maintaining relationship with service providers as well as through market research, external studies and technology forums.
