Job Description

The Cost Controller will contribute to the final construction and testing phases, assisting in vendor collaboration and ensuring effective cost management. This role involves generating monthly reports, managing earned value, forecasting costs, transitioning cost control activities to Excel and working closely with a project coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors to support final construction activities, testing, and validation.
• Create monthly reports for the PMO team, including burn rates relative to PO amounts.
• Work closely with Supply Chain for POs at risk of reaching their full amount.
• Implement earned value management and conduct budget versus actual analysis.
• Facilitate the transition to Excel for cost control activities.
• Provide recommendations for improvements on current cost reports.

Work Environment

This role begins hybrid for the initial months and transitions into an on site setting as the facility develops. You will report to the PMO manager, collaborating with a project coordinator and supporting six PMs. The position offers a dynamic environment with varied responsibilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00 / hr.
