We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Daycare Director to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care and education.
Position Overview :
As the Daycare Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and administration of our daycare centre. You will oversee the daily operations, ensure compliance with regulations, develop and implement educational programs, and lead a team of dedicated staff members.
Your leadership will be crucial in creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the daycare centre, ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that align with early childhood education (ECE) standards.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, families, and the community, addressing concerns and providing regular communication about children’s progress.
- Oversee budget management, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management.
- Coordinate staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance the quality of care and education provided.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and services, making improvements as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain records of all operational activities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the center.
- Be willing to travel to different locations as needed for training, meetings, or other related duties.
Qualifications :
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in budget management and administrative tasks.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel purposes from West Kelowna to Penticton
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $28.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours : 35 42 per week
