Role : Testing Operator – Edmonton
The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who collaborates across departments to support testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform final assembly and comprehensive testing of products in a production environment.
- Execute functional, safety, and quality testing per SOPs, calibrate test beds, and document results.
- Identify, investigate, and perform root‑cause analysis on product failures or defects; complete rework as required.
- Collaborate with R&D to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communicate quality, testing, and manufacturing concerns to management.
- Maintain accurate run‑tracking and production documentation.
- Perform lead‑free hand soldering of through‑hole and surface‑mount components, including PCB repair and SMT first‑article verification.
- Conduct quality control inspections on outgoing shipments to meet RCC standards.
- Use and maintain current test manuals.
- Install, use, and maintain the most current RCC application software for testing.
- Provide cross‑functional support in through‑hole assembly, testing, and final assembly areas as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years experience in electronics manufacturing and testing of sub‑assemblies.Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronics sub‑assemblies.Strong knowledge of test instrumentation, calibration, and software tools.Familiarity with ISO standards, WHMIS, and health & safety practices is an asset.Success Profile
