Base pay range : CA$55.00 / hr - CA$60.00 / hr. Location : Hybrid – Vancouver (onsite 1 day / month). Contract Length : 6 months (from now until February next year).

Location : Hybrid – Vancouver. Have to be onsite 1 day / month.

Job Description : Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst for a large retail client in North Vancouver, BC. This Business Analyst will join the Data and Analytics group, supporting their Supply Chain Business Partners with data related to logistics, sustainability, and other key initiatives. The role will focus on driving data-informed decision-making across multiple projects, beginning with a logistics-focused initiative. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to deliver impactful insights.

Responsibilities

Supporting 1–2 concurrent projects within the Data & Analytics team, starting with logistics and expanding into sustainability.
Gathering and translating business requirements into actionable data product requirements.
Building dashboards, performing data modeling, and conducting risk assessments.
Collaborating with business stakeholders to move initiatives forward and deliver value.

Skills & Tools

Analytical : Strong data modeling and transformation logic abilities.

Problem Solving : Highly independent and able to navigate ambiguity.

Communication : Excellent and proactive communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and engineers.

Detail-Oriented : A user-first mindset with a focus on precision and clarity.

Tools : Power BI, SQL, SAP S4

Must Haves

3-5 years of Business Analyst work within data-centric teams

Ability to perform dimensional modelling such as writing PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria; running discovery workshops; facilitating UAT.

Strong Power BI skills with full-scale report development (DAX, Power Query / M, data modeling, report design, publishing).

Strong SQL skills for Power BI work and for data validation and analysis

Jira / Agile skills within backlog management, sprint ceremonies, and incremental delivery

Experience with Supply Data and working with Supply chain background

SAP Experience + S4 experience

Strong Excel skills with Power Pivot and complex formulas for quick analysis and stakeholder-ready views

Strong communicator and desire to grow long term in a role

Nice-to-have

Retail background

Willingness to take leadership role within scrum / ceremonies
