We are seeking a skilled Software Development Manager to lead a cross-organizational tiger team driving a high-visibility S3-wide initiative. In this role, you will leverage your technical depth in large-scale distributed systems to solve complex problems with simple solutions for one of AWS's foundational services. Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
You'll start your day collaborating with your team of talented software engineers, reviewing progress on critical components of S3's internal communication protocols. Throughout the day, you'll balance technical deep dives with strategic planning sessions, working across organizational boundaries to drive alignment on your high-visibility initiative. You'll mentor team members to foster their growth while ensuring they have the support needed to deliver complex solutions that meet S3's rigorous standards for security, durability, availability, and performance.
