We are looking for Recreation Aide to join our Casa Mia Care in Vancouver, B.C.

Assists residents to and from programs as required.

Assists encourage and motivates residents/tenants to participate and provide personal care during recreational activities as required.

Observes, reports, and documents any changes, in residents, to the supervisor and/or nurse.

Ensures recreational equipment and supplies are used, maintained and stored in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.

Reports unsafe or faulty equipment to supervisor.

Actively participates in C.Q.I.

program, meetings, committees and educational in-services as required.

Assists in the maintenance of statistical records.

Assists with orientation of new residents/tenants.

Requirements Graduate from a recognized Activity/Recreation Certificate or diploma program Experience in a senior’s focused recreation department an asset.

Basic First Aid Certificate (Current).

Food Safe Course or equivalent (Current).

Proof of COVID vaccination days and evenings availability About us: Casa Mia is a heritage home offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms.

Many with expansive views over the Fraser River and towering trees.

Casa Mia is a storied 1930’s mansion boasting views of gorgeous grounds, the Fraser River, Georgia Straight, and the mountains of Vancouver Island.

This estate home features three stories with a grand dining area, ballroom, recreation areas and large outdoor patios on each floor.

Casa Mia provides our residents with a modern care environment with a throw back to Vancouver’s heritage.

Casa Mia works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.

We offer 58 subsidized care beds and 32 private pay.
