Dynamics 365 Finance Administrator
The IBM Resource on Demand Team is seeking a Dynamics 365 Finance Administrator for a contract opportunity in the Ottawa area.
Role description :
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Administrator’s primary responsibility will be to provide support for the system configuration, upgrade, security administration, change management, monitoring, auditing and integrations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations system components.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Dynamics Finance and Operations and knowledge of Dynamics Customer Engagement, and Project Operations.
The D365 Finance Administrator will also be responsible for working with team to design, test and implement technical solutions to support needed integrations, reporting, forms, and customizations as defined by business requirements.
Other responsibilities include :
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system.
Work with other administrators to ensure that the system is running smoothly.
Work with key stakeholders to ensure that the platform is being used to its full capability.
Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
Provide support to users of the system.
Develop training materials for new users.
Implement requested new features for the system through configurations, custom development, or working with a technology partner.
Coding, unit testing, building applications, and creating, modifying, and troubleshooting existing applications.
Perform maintenance activities on the system.
Mandatory Skills :
Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance Enhanced Reliability or Secret Level II
Three years experience with Dynamics 365 Administration out of which at least one year in D365 Finance Administration or Dynamics AX 2012.
Must have experience in creating profiles, roles, users, page layouts, email alerts and communications, data management, approval processes, workflows, reports, dashboards and including system administration, configuration, integrations, updates, and end-user support.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform for Finance and / or AX 2012 and its features, functionalities, and integrations.
Proven knowledge and experience with user roles and Security in AX / D365Excellent understanding of user security and data security and management.
Experience creating and updating custom reports in utilizing the following reporting tools : Management Reporter, Power BI, SQL Server Report Builder, other available tools.
Technical proficiency with SQL for reviewing data, troubleshooting, developing user reports using SSRS, and testing / validating source system data.
Perform Financial Dimension set up or additions as needed for acquisition activities or accounting requests. Manage user permissions for accounting management systems.
Find solutions for accounting-related system issues such as national invoicing, transferring project hours, or project invoicing with fees.
Escalate support for issues, as necessary.
Strong understanding of accounting concepts as they relate to ERP or CRM system use.
Strong knowledge of the certificate and user provisioning tools and processes, and the enterprise governance standards and regulations for web applications.
Comprehensive understanding of the Power Platform Admin Center.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working in a large enterprise utilizing multiple environments.
Experience in a government agency a plus.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM certification and / or Microsoft Certificate Services certification are preferred.
