Hello!! We are a young and light hearted family that has recently grown to have 4 human members! We have raised our first daughter Kinneret with a lot of Danish language and tradition.
Elise is the mom and Richard is the father. Richard doesn't speak much Danish and is unfortunately a little bit of a slower learner than Kinneret! Beeri is our new guy and he seems pretty chill so far, though we are still struggling to work out a good sleep schedule.
We have a dog named Needles, she is a sweetheart and good defender of the family, but sometimes needs a bit of time to warm up to new people.
We live in a very beautiful part of Toronto just a block from one of the most lovely and large parks in the city (High Park - great for off leash dog walks, playgrounds, exercise, etc.
and another block from a busy high street with great food and amenities (Roncesvalles). There is good public transit and tons of great stuff nearby.
We are a family that loves to laugh and be together. Kinneret is fairly active and is quite adept at riding her new bike and is very proud to have no training wheels.
Our parenting style is probably best captured by montesorri philosophies, in that we try to foster a sense of autonomy in Kinneret by making things do-able for her.
Our house is a bit of a mess after moving back in following a renovation, and we could probably use some help getting things organized if anyone feels particularly Marie Kondo inspired, this skill would be greatly appreciated!!We imagine that a good fit for our family would not mind doing some light house work interchangeably with childcare, perhaps meal prep, laundry, maybe even if comfortable help out with Needles.
