Junior Structural Designer

Entuitive is looking for a Junior Structural Designer, based in our Vancouver office. Take the opportunity to learn more about the structural engineering service at Entuitive.

What will you do?

• Responsible for the designing and detailing of structural elements including calculations, computer modelling, and analysis.
• Production of engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team.
• Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties.
• CAD / BIM may be assigned as a portion of your job responsibility as required.
• Implementation and adherence of Entuitive’s quality assurance programs to ensure that services meet Entuitive’s standards and our client’s expectations.
• Such other duties and responsibilities as Entuitive may assign to you from time to time.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed?

• An engineering degree with a focus on civil and structural engineering.
• A masters degree would be considered an asset
• Industry experience is considered an asset.
• Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
• Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is considered an asset

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $60,000 to $65,000 annually and is based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education.

This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the British Columbia Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful British Columbia applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in British Columbia or perform the position from British Columbia.
