Jacobs is seeking a motivated professional to support client projects in water resources, including stormwater management, water supply, environmental assessments, low impact development, site grading, and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects with Environmental Services, Conveyance, Transportation, and Buildings teams.
- Design water resources systems including surface drainage, stormwater management facilities, and LID measures; conduct modelling and environmental assessments.
- Contribute to technical reports, proposals, and contractual documentation.
- Manage environmental data and perform analysis on water quality and flow data.
- Conduct field work such as water quality sampling, flow monitoring, and site inspections.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Design municipal and industrial conveyance systems, including pipelines, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrological analyses to meet technical, environmental, and financial project requirements.
- Assist with construction-phase services, including submittal reviews and site visits.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and Jacobs’ safety and sustainability commitments.
Qualifications
0 to 3 years of experience in water resources projects.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.Proficiency with ArcGIS / ArcMap and common desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Project).Ability to conduct field work and hold an AB / BC driver’s license.Knowledge of hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks (experience is an asset).Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD support.Pre‑graduate experience in water resources and / or water and wastewater infrastructure.Consulting engineering experience.Eligibility for P.Eng. registration in Alberta and / or British Columbia within 3–4 years.Seniority level
