Role Overview
We are hiring a full-time Household Assistant to help keep our home organized, prepared, and running smoothly day-to-day.
This is a household-first role :
70–80% household operations, organization, errands, and upkeep
20–30% kids-related logistics and routine support (not a nanny role)
This is a long-term position for someone who takes pride in creating order, staying ahead of tasks, and making life easier for the household.
The ideal candidate naturally notices what needs to be done and takes action without needing direction.

Core Responsibilities
Household Operations
Daily reset of the home (tidying, kitchen reset, surfaces)
Laundry (wash, fold, put away)
Organizing pantry, cupboards, and storage
Maintaining simple, effective organization systems
Rotating toys and books
Small deep-clean projects (e.g., cupboards, kitchen, bathroom storage)
Kids Routine Support
Preparing school and activity bags
Preparing lunches, snacks, and water bottles
Ensuring kids are ready for school and activities
Driving to activities or appointments as needed
Minimal direct childcare — must be comfortable around children, but this is not a nanny role.)
Errands & Logistics
Grocery shopping (online and in-store)
Returns (Amazon, retail, etc.)
Picking up supplies or prescriptions
General day-to-day household errands
Prep & Inventory
Keeping pantry and essentials stocked
Organizing vitamins and daily-use items
Basic meal prep / ingredient prep
Preparing items for the next day
Car & External Organization
Keeping family vehicle clean and organized
Managing kids’ items in the car
Ensuring smooth movement of bags and gear between locations
Household Admin
Managing returns and receipts
Organizing paperwork and school-related items
Daily Household Scan
Each day includes a quick check of :
Laundry
Kitchen
Kids’ bags & gear
Supplies
Overall home condition
If something is off, low, or out of place → fix it or flag it.

The home feels consistently organized, clean, and calm
Kids are prepared without last-minute stress
Tasks are handled proactively without reminders
The household runs smoothly with minimal oversight
Work Style & Environment
High autonomy and ownership
Ability to organize and improve systems
Low-friction environment (no micromanagement)
Respectful, stable, and well-run household
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys bringing order to busy environments and improving systems over time.
Schedule
Full-time : 30–40 hours / week
5 days per week
Flexible structure initially (e.g., Wed–Sun or Thu–Mon)
Schedule becomes consistent once established
We are open to slightly fewer hours for the right candidate, but preference is full-time.
Compensation
28–$35 / hour, based on experience and fit
Flexibility for exceptional long-term candidates
Opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation over time
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
Reliable transportation
Strong references
Comfortable and competent around children
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Professional, respectful, and discreet
Legally able to work in Canada
Start Date
Ideally immediate, with flexibility for the right candidate.
