Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home and community settings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist who has a passion for working with children and can provide care within the Private and Home School-Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS).

We have part time roles available in a hybrid position based at our St. Thomas location.

What you will be doing :

You will be responsible for delivering care to children with rehabilitation needs, in our School-based Rehabilitation Program and must be able to work in a dynamic environment while facilitating relationships between families, schools, and the local healthcare systems.

You will work collaboratively to provide patient care both virtually and with in-person visits.

Responsible for providing services involving short-term consultation, training, and intervention for specific rehabilitation needs.

You will be responsible for assessing and treating pediatric clients with various needs, which include but is not limited to : speech sound delays and disorders, motor speech challenges, stuttering, and voice disorders.

You thrive on being a self-starter and can work well under minimal supervision.

You can work in a team but are proven to be reliable while working independently.

Skills needed for success :

You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who loves to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice.

Know principles of reflective practice.

Use a systematic approach to decision-making during the development, implementation, and evaluation of clients.

You are safety-focused and accountable.

Highly organized, with the ability to multitask conflicting priorities.

You have Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Have current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.

Must have a current valid G2 / G driving license and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
