Financial Analyst

Reporting to : Commercial Finance Manager

Scope of Duties and Responsibilities :

Take responsibility for the production and management of weekly and monthly financial results (P&L and balance sheet) for multiple contracts with inputs from operation departments.

This includes generating month-end journals and performing pre-close and post-close financial performance reviews.

  • Assist, with input from relevant budget holders, the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the contracts and risk analysis
  • Leading the communication with operation teams to gather accurate information to produce various reports.
  • Presentation of meaningful trends and variance analysis to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions
  • The production and analysis of indicators based on all business areas, such as invoicing, debt, personnel, purchasing, allocations, productivity, and stock control, and notify managers of trends
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the pricing of variation quotations prepared for the client. Driving initiatives for income maximization and economies in cost
  • Assist with year-end statutory audits and internal audits and responding to queries
  • Ability to prioritize based on changing demands from different levels of stakeholder of the organization.
  • Support operational managers with financial tools
  • Participate in the analysis of the financial performance of new contracts (actual vs. BID numbers)
  • Contribute to the development of new reports and analysis, improving dashboards and KPIs

Essential Attributes :

  • Problem solving skills and analytical mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with many levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and adopt to evolving priorities
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft D365 ERP and Other ERP systems such as SAP
  • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel

Education and Experience :

  • Designated CPA or equivalent
  • Minimum five-year progressive experience in a related field / role
  • Prior experience in system migration would be a definite advantage
  • Prior experience in effective communication with operational teams
