MYP Math and General Science Teacher

The successful candidate will work with students to help them reach their full potential in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Providing students an educational experience designed to inspire and challenge students to discover the best of who they are and to achieve their full potential
• Ensuring a welcoming classroom environment in a manner that reflects the TMS commitment to supporting students and their families, and the motto I am Known
• Participating actively in faculty and department meetings to plan, review and update the written curriculum
• Ensuring the written, taught and assessed curriculum is in line with IB and Ministry of Education curriculum ensuring differentiation
• Establishing good relationships with teachers, staff and parents across the school community
• Being an active and positive participant in the co-curricular and community life of the school

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes :

• University degree in Math or Sciences.
• Ontario College of Teachers Certification
• Over 3 years teaching experience in defined subject matter area
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) experience is considered a strong asset
• Ability to instruct in a laptop environment
• A current Vulnerable Sector Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
