ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the effective functioning of the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment for the Edmonton South Sofina Foods Plant.

DUTIES

• Accountable for the effective functioning of the electrical systems or mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in the facility.
• Accountable for the effective installation of new equipment or the installation, welding and fabrication of new equipment.
• Responsible for identifying and requesting proper parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Assisting MP2 Coordinator to ensure accurate and sufficient parts inventory.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation as required.
• Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
• Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
• Other duties, related to the position, will be assigned as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate in Alberta is required.
• Minimum two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and machining experience or mechanical, electrical and refrigeration experience.
• An ability to use power and manual tools required.
• A 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (Alberta) is an asset.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

New wage rate: $45.77 / hour + Shift Premium, Benefits, Company-Matched Pension, Sick Days, Personal days, annual increases and more.

Shift: Currently have 2 positions available on the following 8 hour shifts:

• Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM / 3:00 PM start, plus daily overtime and Saturday overtime as needed
