Senior Artist

A NEW AND EXCITING ROLE!

East Side Games (in collaboration with World of Wonder and partners) are creating a new smash hit game based on the exceptional RuPaul’s Drag Race IP! As a Senior Artist , you’ll work with the Lead Artist to develop new features and create lots of fun content for our amazing players to enjoy! In a celebration of drag culture and with a focus on inclusivity and diversity , your input will help this game join the ranks of our other world-class IPs, and faithfully represent LGBTQ2S+ & BIPOC communities.

Please be aware that we are a remote-first studio, hiring across Canada, and do not provide an office space for employees.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Create a broad range of assets, from character fashion to Match game pieces
• Manage asset production across the entire art pipeline, including implementation and testing in Unity
• Work with the Lead Artist and other disciplines to develop new game features and create lots of fun content for this brand new mobile game based off of RuPaul’s Drag Race!
• Utilizing Unity, Spine and the Adobe Suite (with a focus on Adobe Illustrator) to design, build and animate optimized assets in accordance with project specifications
• Help manage outsourcing resources as needed, both locally and internationally.
• Research, analyze, and report on trends in the Mobile game industry so you can assist us in providing the best player experience possible

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Working knowledge of Unity (Spine is a big bonus)
• Production-level knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and competency with the Adobe Creative Suite
• A minimum of 2 years experience in Game Development, or related industries. Mobile, F2P, or Match game experience is a HUGE plus!
• Knowledge of current fashion trends is a huge plus as well!
• A portfolio of polished work that showcases vector examples, 2D / 3D character animation and concept work that demonstrates your iterative approach to development
• Exceptional time management skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic studio
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally

Compensation Range : $76K-$90K CAD per annum. Salary is determined by experience, skills, and capabilities.
