What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

You will be using your exceptional customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by :

• Efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
• Confirming valid boarding passes
• Scanning and testing baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, other technology, along with physical search techniques
• Protecting restricted areas
• Managing conflict
• Communicating clearly and effectively
• Upholding all regulations with vigilance

What You Bring :

This role will be fully based at Victoria International Airport (YYJ).

Work Hours : Hours of work can be anywhere between 3.30am to midnight, so candidates with open availability to work morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts are preferred.

If you are successful in the application process, you will be required to apply for a Transport Security Clearance (TSC), which requires an extensive background check. Once obtained, you will be eligible to begin the Screening Officer Foundations (SOF) course, which much be successfully passed prior to beginning work as a Pre-Board Screening Officer.
