Forestry Log Truck Driver

Job Description :

Thompson Infinity is seeking a skilled Log Truck Driver to join our Forestry Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting logs from the forest to processing facilities.

This role requires a high level of driving expertise, knowledge of forestry operations, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities :

• Operate log trucks to transport logs from logging sites to processing or storage facilities.
• Ensure loads are secure and meet all safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to all transportation and safety regulations.
• Communicate with forestry teams to coordinate load pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and load details.

Qualifications :

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
• Proven experience as a log truck driver or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation safety protocols.
• Ability to operate log trucks in challenging terrain and weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification.
• Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Certification, BSO or CSO equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
