The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to help architect and launch the core platform from the ground up. You’ll collaborate directly with the founder to design and build the technical foundation — spanning workflows, data systems, and integrations — while shaping how the product evolves with its earliest users. This is a rare opportunity to join at day zero, define the stack, and set the tone for an ambitious product and engineering culture. What You’ll Do

• Build the platform end-to-end — including care navigation tools, provider directory, and booking infrastructure.
• Design and own the technical stack — architecture, backend, frontend, integrations, and data security (PHIPA / PIPEDA compliance).
• Decide when to build vs. buy — evaluating integrations with tools like JaneApp, Calendly, Airtable, and Stripe to ensure seamless system connections.
• Collaborate on product vision and UX — translating user insights from caregivers, HR leaders, and care experts into elegant, scalable workflows.
• Implement best practices — authentication, analytics, and data storage with a focus on security and compliance.
• Recruit and mentor future engineers as the product and team scale.
• Shape company strategy and culture as part of the founding leadership team.
