Sr. Solution Architect, Presales Canada

Background and Purpose

OpenText solutions create a measurable impact on customers' business processes. Enterprise solutions in particular require a strategic and holistic view of the business, since they can significantly impact a customer's bottom line and contribute to the realization of their strategies.

It is becoming increasingly important to demonstrate customer intimacy and stakeholder centricity in our execution.

The Solution Architect (SA) is a key role to understand customer's current IT ecosystem and strategy and build a holistic view of the OpenText' solutions deployment as part of their digital transformation journey.

Job and Responsibilities

The Solution Architect is a senior level professional inside the Presales community, capable of managing multiple engagements in complex environments collaborating with many different stakeholders.

The SA responsibilities include :

• Supporting Corporate efforts to enable the sales teams and providing feedback about new developments in the field, new trends and best practices can impact our business
• Supporting the sales teams along the sales cycle from the discovery and qualification phase to the closing, ensuring internal alignment and becoming a trusted advisor
• Working with Solution Consultants to provide a consensus-based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs.
• Helping customers to align IT strategy and planning with their business goals, driving Cloud, Security, Architecture workshops and delivering economical assessments as needed to justify investment
• Managing Risk of information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies.
• Making sure there's a proper handover to PS and cloud services, developing migration strategies together
• Participating in conferences and events to speak about OpenText Cloud Offerings
• Developing the knowledge in different areas of expertise, from deployment models to OpenText solutions
• Supporting the development of policies, standards and guidelines that governs the selection, development, implementation and use of IT within the enterprise.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years experience in consultative / complex technical sales and deployment projects
• 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and / or support of highly distributed applications
• 2+ years of experience in converting on premise workloads to the cloud
• Understanding of cloud computing technologies (SaaS, PaaS, MPC, etc.), business drivers, and emerging computing trends
• Understanding of information security (including compliance standards and IT governance)
• Project and program management planning and organizational skills
• Time management and prioritization skills
• Problem solving techniques.
• Strong qualification skills
• Customer service orientation
• Knowledge of the EIM industry and related products - OpenText products preferred
• Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Sharing and global mindset
• Self-motivated, committed to excellence
