INDUSTRIAL DESIGN SUPERVISOR

Client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-orientated Industrial Design Supervisor to join our Engineering Team. Established in 1976, we are a medium sized organization where each individual makes a large impact.

The candidate will play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge furniture designs to life and will have a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology, a strong understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design new products or improve existing ones.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Utilize engineering knowledge to provide technical guidance and solutions.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with engineering projects.
- Create Prototype to test and validate design concepts.
- Conduct testing and analysis to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet overall organizational goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that engineering projects meet quality standards and comply with regulations.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project and Engineering protocols documentation.
- Use engineering principles and Solid Works software tools for product design.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD Software (preferably Solid Works) and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exposure to manufacturing environment and full knowledge of manufacturability, process improvement, and quality issues.
- Knowledge of product test methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and / or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are advantageous.
