Lake Country Co-op - Assistant Team Leader Building Materials - Nipawin

What you’ll do :

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Perform administrative and follow up duties such as maintaining customer accounts, ensuring quotes, invoices, and payments are processed and completed accurately to customer satisfaction.
• Managing and monitoring the store’s inventory, including restocking shelves, ordering new products, and ensuring that popular items are always in stock
• Assisting in achieving sales goals and targets by recommending products, offering promotions, and upselling when appropriate
• Assist in overseeing and supervising the sales associates and other staff members, including training and scheduling
• Ensure that the store is well-organized and visually appealing, with products displayed neatly and in an attractive manner
• Estimate and provide quotes for building projects
• Perform receiving of merchandise, stocking shelves, operating point of sale systems, pricing, displays, selling, conducting inventory counts and inventory control procedures related to complaints and warranty
• Assist with the day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the store, handling the cash registers, and maintaining a safe and clean store environment
• Other duties as assigned

Who you’ll work with : Reporting to the Nipawin Home Centre Team Leader you will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction.

You will assist in leading a department on this fun and passionate team to cultivate a culture of collaboration

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and :

• You have a grade12 and 3 years’ experience in building materials sales; customer service experience especially in the CRS considered an asset
• You are able to work unsupervised, plan and organize your own work and the work of others
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in the work that you do
• You have extensive knowledge of building materials industry; estimating and construction experience, trends and codes
• You have strong computer and technical background, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are an effective planner, and have superb time management skills
• You are flexible to work a variety of shifts including a weekend and holiday rotation
• You are will to travel for short periods of time to attend training events and buying shows
• Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License is required
