A global leader in colour cosmetic and personal care product development and manufacturing is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join their cosmetic powders lab.

The Research and Innovation Technical Lead will drive the company’s product pipeline and competitive positioning through cutting-edge research.

Core Responsibilities :

• Directing research and adoption of technologies to cement leadership in powder cosmetics, ranging from ingredients to processing methods
• Pinpointing and planning new innovation opportunities by leveraging consumer insights and market trends
• Pioneering formulas through re-engineering benchmarks, reformulations, chassis development, supplier collaborations
• Heading disciplined experimentation via DOE to create differentiated powder products
• Overseeing concurrent innovation projects from formula design through commercialisation
• Building institutional knowledge by mentoring scientists and chemists on development best practices
• Providing ongoing manufacturing support through scale-up guidelines and issue resolution
• Ensuring formula compliance, safety, and alignment with quality standards

Additional responsibilities include maintaining current industry awareness, actively contributing to meetings / calls, documenting formulas to specifications, reviewing test data, and assisting with various R&I lab tasks.

Skills and Experience :

• BSc or MSc in Science, preferably Chemistry
• Extensive experience in cosmetic formulation, including powder R&D
• Leadership ability and solutions-focused mindset
• Excellent communication, organisation, and coaching skills
