The Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Remote Part-Time Accountant. This position is perfect for a self-motivated professional who excels in accounting principles, enjoys working independently, and values work-life balance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks remotely and ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording transactions, updating ledgers, and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, billing, and collections.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings, in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs and investments.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management to support business planning and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience working as an accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time and tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a suitable workspace conducive to remote work.
• Availability to work part-time hours on a flexible schedule, with potential for occasional evening or weekend work based on business needs.
