The Collections and Accounting Assistant plays a key role in supporting Alberta Grains financial operations by ensuring loan repayments are accurately tracked, collections are handled professionally, and accounting processes run smoothly. This role works closely with producers, loan officers, and the Accounting team to support timely repayments, maintain accurate records, and strengthen internal controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial information, and enjoys being a reliable point of support in a collaborative, mission-driven organization.

Job Type : full-time permanent, 40 hours per week, onsite at the Alberta Grains office.

Key Responsibilities :

Loan Repayment & Collections

• Monitor and follow up on loan repayments to ensure deadlines are met.
• Contact producers regarding repayment schedules, outstanding balances, or repayment plans.
• Prepare and manage repayment collection agreements.
• Conduct proactive collections and follow up on delinquent or defaulted loans.
• Track repayment activity in the loan management system and resolve discrepancies with internal teams.
