Our client in the insurance industry is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage technology solutions of medium scale and high complexity.
This role requires a proactive professional adept at driving projects to completion on schedule, ensuring resource clarity on deliverables and timelines.
The ideal candidate will have a background in project management within Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall environments, and will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of high-quality technology solutions, fostering high-performing teams, and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.

Responsibilities : Project Management
Project Management
- Initiate, plan, manage, deploy, and influence leading technology solutions of medium scale and high complexity that are high-quality, innovative, efficient, creative, scalable, adaptable, and fully performing while complying with all standards and best practices to support business and client outcomes.
- Oversee planning, execution, management, implementation, and reporting for non-agile initiatives.
- Act as a change agent, supporting agile rollouts, focusing on facilitating greater agility for assigned teams / squads, coaching to build high-performing teams, and eliminating obstacles to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Ensure project completion on schedule, specifically in Workplace projects, historically managed in Waterfall or Kanban methodologies.
- Serve as a servant leader, establishing and coaching squads on Scrum practices, sharing responsibility for the delivery of medium to large initiatives within an agile framework.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and expand relationships within teams / squads, with release train engineers, portfolio / product owners, and other supporting teams to deliver business value.
- Provide transparency to Business, IT, and Operations about team progress and Agile processes.
- Ensure effective and timely communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
Performance Tracking
- Track goals, key quality, and productivity measurements, continuously working with the teams / squads to improve these metrics.
- Define and manage project risks and issues, ensuring strategies and plans are in place to mitigate or handle them effectively.
Guidance and Mentorship
- Seek guidance from senior resources when needed and mentor less experienced team members.
- Foster a continuous learning environment, helping teams adapt to changing circumstances.
What you will need to succeed :
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience as a Project Manager in Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall environments.
- 5 to 7 years of experience implementing medium to large technology / business projects, including large-scale core application rollouts and replacements.
- Proficient in Excel, Planview, Jira, and SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data protection, privacy, and security best practices.
- Technically minded problem solver.
- Proven ability to drive projects, ensuring resources are clear on their deliverables and timelines.
- Ability to develop and manage detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
- Define and manage project risks and issues, ensuring appropriate strategies and plans are in place to mitigate or handle them effectively.
- Experience managing projects in Waterfall or Kanban methodologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on relationship management and team building.
- Ability to manage ambiguity effectively and help project team members navigate uncertainty.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to manage difficult situations to resolution.
- Effective facilitation skills for conducting successful meetings / ceremonies.
- Excellent communication skills to provide comprehensive, concise recommendations to management.

- Ability to navigate between Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
