Storyboot School Coordinator

Manitobah Storyboot School is looking to fill the role of Storyboot School Coordinator. Reporting to a Board of Directors, the SS Coordinator is responsible for leading the coordination and promotion of Storyboot School.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Program Coordination

• Coordinate the delivery of Storyboot Classes
• Promote, Recruit and Register participants
• Provide programming and support for class planning and instructors
• Ensure that program objectives are met on time and on budget
• Collect and Organize program data and complete reporting as required
• Maintain a project management calendar for fulfilling program goals and objectives
• Assist with planning and organizing meetings
• Collaborate with instructors on the development of new curriculum
• Identify sources of grants, and assist in preparing and writing applicable funding applications
• Assist with brand and marketing plans within appropriate timelines and budget
• Speak on behalf of the program at events and engagements to increase community awareness
• Conduct media interviews and attend public facing events as required

Requirements

Post-secondary education in a related field (communications, fundraising, business, etc.)

Acceptable combination of education and experience will be considered

• 3+ years in project coordination, experience in non-profit considered an asset
• Demonstrated experience in developing new business and proposal writing
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Must possess a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License and have flexibility to travel for work, as required
• Familiarity with photo editing, photography and creating marketing materials
• Familiarity with budgeting, and financial reporting
• Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations
• Must provide a clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check
