About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Piping Project Manager is responsible for providing oversight to junior staff in the coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions.
Initially, this role will support a large multidisciplinary industrial project based in Regina for approximately the next 10 months.
You will develop best-in-class project management skills working in a large General Contractor; we manage the construction of large, complex, technically challenging and rewarding projects.
As a Project Manager at Graham, you will :
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with client
- Ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- Develop, recommend and implement the project plan, after being awarded the project
- Coach / mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to you
- Provide leadership and oversight on management of project Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
- Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project
- Review each project’s progress with the project staff as the project proceeds
- Identify required and optional changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the owner
- Provide daily reporting (piping and pipe Subtrades portion) updating activities, concerns, or issues
- Manage quantity tracking, EVR and progress / productivity reporting for scope
- Manage material Req’s and maintain oversight on ordering for scope
Qualifications / Experience :
- Mechanical / Industrial Engineering degree or Technology diploma is considered an asset
- 3-7 years of direct project management experience
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of industrial construction (technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety)
- Willingness to work on remote projects and rotational schedules is a requirement.
