Join Central 1's vibrant External Reporting and Accounting Advisory Team on an exciting journey! As the Director of External Reporting and Accounting Advisory, you'll lead and be part of a team of skilled professionals in crafting captivating narratives of our financial journey.
Through your expertise, you'll produce compelling quarterly and annual reports, along with Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), to captivate our external stakeholders.

What you'll be doing :
Managing the preparation and delivery of Central 1's quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for external filing.
This involves carefully reviewing sections from other teams to ensure they are accurate and high-quality
- Preparing and / or review complex accounting memorandums under IFRS for Central 1's auditors.
- Providing technical accounting support under IFRS, including setting accounting policies, advising on new products and contracts, and monitoring changes in accounting standards.
- Build trust and credibility with the Finance Leadership team, business units, and senior leadership to establish strong relationships
- Overseeing the preparation of the quarterly reporting package for Central 1's Audit and Finance Committee.
- Coordinating and support the annual external audit and quarterly reviews of Central 1's financial statements.
- Monitoring changes in accounting standards and assessing their impact on Central 1's operations and its financial statements.
- Preparing Central 1's regulatory reports.
- Preparation financial statements for Central 1's subsidiaries and affiliates as required.
- Working with key internal stakeholders to support enhanced governance over ESG-related reporting.
- Improve the financial and regulatory reporting process to be more efficient and maintain strong controls to support CEO and CFO certification requirements.
- Develop staff skillset related to technical knowledge, communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrating a commitment to strong people leadership and employee development that supports Central 1's core purpose and values.
Internal Control Environment
- Monitor the daily operation of internal controls over financial and regulatory reporting. Identify potential weaknesses and suggest improvements.
- Recommending, developing, and implementing enhancements to Central 1's internal controls over financial and regulatory reporting.
What you'll have :
- Bachelor's degree in finance coupled with a Professional Accounting Designation
- 10+ years in a financial and regulatory reporting role
- Operational capabilities (translate the "what is required" into the "how it's done")
- Extensive experience being an integral part of a finance management team
- Experience and knowledge of accounting best practices and relevant accounting standards (strong knowledge of IFRS is required)
- Demonstrate adaptability and personal resilience to navigate ambiguity and embrace change with ease.
- Ability to perform advanced technical analysis in consideration of achieving group and corporate objectives in a complex reporting environment is required.
- Having experience and passion for leading and developing talent. Build high-performing teams by mentoring, giving feedback, and offering professional development opportunities.
- Leadership presence and credibility built with subordinates, peers, and senior leadership

Salary : $139,600
The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
