Machine Operator - TTP

We are hiring production operators for our client an industrial bakery in Brantford, Ontario. This is a TTP role ( Temp to Perm hire).

Shifts :

Biweekly rotation of day shift and night shift - 5 : 30 to 5 : 30 or 6 : 00 to 6 : 00 or 7 : 00 to 7 : 00

Rate of pay : $23.50 per hour

This position requires being legally able to work more than 20 hours per week since it is a full-time job.

Please note that the position is NOT for students and we are looking for candidates with industrial experience, with food industry ( an asset)

Responsibilities

Your workday as a Production Operator may include :

• Operation of high-speed continuous donut / bread / pastry production line
• Setting up, operating, and monitoring the line equipment
• Liaise with appropriate staff throughout the shift to ensure continuous process and quality standards
• Keeping a working stock of raw materials required online at all times
• Operate and monitor machinery that palletizes finished products as required
• Data entry of inventory data into the warehouse management system as required
• Operate forklift and manual lifting as required
• Maintain the required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

Job requirements in this general labour position include :

• Comfortable lifting 40-50 lb
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
• Comfortable using a pump truck to manually move skids of baked goods
• Comfortable with repetitive work
• High school diploma / G.E.D required
• Previous line experience in the food industry preferred
• Ability to work rotating continental shift schedule- 2 weeks days and 2 weeks night (7-7)
