The Opportunity

This position has responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of the organization's SQL Server Infrastructure (2016 and later). It includes supporting MS Windows failover clustering and SQL Server HA solutions. The person in this position will work closely with members of the IT staff to ensure very high levels of SQL database availability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database structures.
• Establish backup and recovery procedures.
• Create users and assign privileges.
• Monitor performance and tune databases.
• Plan and monitor capacity.
• Implement replication and backup strategies.
• Ensure data security and integrity.
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Set up and maintain SQL HA solutions.
• Troubleshoot SQL issues.
• Automate and script processes.
• Participate in the 24 / 7 on‑call rotation for emergencies or operational assistance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
