Your Opportunity
Our Transportation practice has an immediate requirement for a Project Manager in our Saskatoon or Regina offices. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work in a team environment and want to be involved in exciting local, regional, national and international projects.
The successful candidate will work directly with our project engineers and design teams to delivery our current and future projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Project management, including proposals and scope of work preparation, budgeting, invoicing, scheduling, etc.
- Preparation and development of engineering design plans. Coordination of projects between disciplines.
- QA / QC review of design plans, in compliance with design standards and guidelines.
- Coordinate with clients and agencies regarding project data, needs and status, as necessary.
- Prepare and negotiate scopes of work and cost estimates.
- Maintain project financials, invoicing, cash collections, and maximizing profit on projects.
- Collaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirements
- Supporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec's Environmental Health & Safety program
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant roadway and highway design guides, such as the TAC Geometric Design Guide and local client design guides.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with highway and roadway design related software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and InRoads.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with marketing, proposal preparation, fee preparations, negotiations, and contracts.
- Eligible as or currently as a Second Level Supervisor for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways is an asset.
- Experience working with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Regina, Saskatoon, and Saskatchewan transportation markets and processes, with strong past client relationships is an asset.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering / project management and project implementation with experience in the design of transportation related facilities.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan (or eligible for licensing with APEGS).
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
