Join the CMHC Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), in the Bilingual Manager, PM Culture, Community and Support position.

In this exciting new role, you’ll bring your experience and passion for project, program, and portfolio management practices to help influence EPMO maturity and capabilities, support engagement with stakeholders for learning and mentoring opportunities,.

and lead a team of professionals responsible for project coordination, portfolio management activities, and EPMO operations.

You will provide strategic recommendations and input to help define and establish the future state of the EPMO function, all the while ensuring alignment with overarching corporate direction and objectives and enhancing organizational desire and acceptance for EPMO practices.

What you’ll do :

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to EPMO leadership and other stakeholders for the planning and delivery of sound project management, program management and portfolio management practices, and support the maintenance and evolution of policies, processes, directives, guidelines, and systems.
  • Lead and manage the design and implementation of change initiatives, including new or revised strategies, activities, policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies within business processes and oversee the design and implementation of those that support enhanced delivery success.
  • Build positive relationships and partnerships and identify key internal or external contacts for support and collaboration, including organizational change management, risk, finance, corporate governance, and IT.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Act as a catalyst for organizational reporting on projects, programs, portfolio performance and overall Key Performance Indicators for the EPMO.
  • Align people, work, and systems to achieve project or program results.

What you should have :

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, finance, commerce, or IT.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in project management, portfolio management, and change management with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent people leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of risk management practices
  • Superior oral and written communication skills including the ability to influence, negotiate and present information in a professional manner in both official language (French and English).
  • Excellent relationship management skills, and demonstrated ability to foster trusting relationships with clients, internal, and external partners.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and / or a Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) Certification.

It would be great if you also had :

A strong knowledge, and / or certification in Agile delivery frameworks would be an asset.
